The Anand Karaj morning.
The ceremony morning needs food that is ready the moment the family arrives and simple to serve at scale. Our breakfast menus are built for it: samosa, pakora and spring rolls with chutney, mixed paratha with yoghurt and pickles, or chole bhature with aloo sabzi and raita, always with masala tea, juice and a barfi platter.
Every gurdwara sets its own rules on what may be served and how. We follow them, and our managers know the kitchens and halls at the gurdwaras we work with.

The reception.
Most Sikh weddings move to a venue for the evening. We cater the reception at hotels and estates across London and the South East, from Heathrow ballrooms to country houses.

Questions couples ask us.
What food is served at an Anand Karaj?
Usually a vegetarian breakfast before or after the ceremony, such as samosa, pakora, paratha or chole bhature, with masala tea and Indian sweets. Each gurdwara sets its own rules, so menus are agreed with the family and the gurdwara.
Can you cater at our gurdwara?
We have close links with eighteen gurdwaras and temples across London, Slough and Gravesend, listed on this page, and we can approach others on your behalf.
Do you cater the reception as well as the ceremony?
Yes. Many families use us for the whole day: breakfast at the gurdwara, then canapés, dinner and dessert at the reception venue.
Is the gurdwara food vegetarian?
Yes. Food served at the gurdwara is vegetarian, and we prepare it accordingly.
